Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to develop Asia’s largest Miyawaki city forest over an space of 100 kanals in China Park close to Saggian Bridge by planting 112,500 indigenous bushes and shrubs.
In a press release, the chief minister mentioned such city forests would even be developed at 15 different locations in Lahore to develop a complete of 292,500 bushes.
He mentioned 58,000 bushes can be planted over an space of 50 kanals in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park whereas one other 58,000 bushes can be grown over 50 kanals in Township. Some 13,500 bushes would even be planted at 12 kanal land of Township nursery, he added.
Equally, he mentioned, Miyawaki city forests would even be developed at C-Block Sabzazar, Ganj Sarkar Sabzazar, Qaddafi Park (Gulshan-i-Ravi), Saggian Interchange, Rustam Park (Gulshan-i-Ravi), Karim Park Golbagh close to Knowledge Darbar, aspect 1 and a pair of of Mahmood Booti, Inexperienced City, Mustafa Bhatti Park, Kashmir Park and Khalid Butt Park of Township.
