LOS ANGELES — Ed Buck, a small-time Democratic donor and political activist, was convicted by a federal jury on Tuesday of offering deadly doses of methamphetamine to 2 males who died at his West Hollywood house nearly 18 months aside.
The lads, Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean, died after Mr. Buck offered them with methamphetamine that precipitated deadly overdoses, the jury discovered. The Justice Division has described the encounters as “occasion and play” periods that concerned Mr. Buck soliciting males and giving them medication at his house.
Mr. Moore died on July 27, 2017, and Mr. Dean on Jan. 7, 2019.
