LAHORE: Members of the Election Fee of Pakistan has expressed anger over federal ministers for accusing the fee of taking bribes.
In response to particulars, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja on Tuesday chaired a gathering over allegations leveled by the federal ministers. The ECP members and better officers attended the session.
The members said that the allegations are baseless and unacceptable because the ECP is a constitutional division.
The Election Fee of Pakistan has determined to serve notices to Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati over allegations leveled by the federal ministers.
The contributors deliberated upon the discussions which passed off through the conferences in Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs and President Home.
The Election Fee additionally sought a document of the allegations of the ministers from PEMRA, additional motion shall be taken after the document is launched.
Earlier, through the session of Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs. federal minister Azam Swati had leveled severe allegations towards the ECP of taking bribes.
In a protest towards the assertion of Azam Swati, the ECP officers had walked out of the assembly.
